Building Astro Websites With AstroWEBTheme
Approved page patterns, a reusable design system, and structured content collections so a new Astro website starts from a production foundation instead of a blank repository.

A blank Astro repository can build almost anything, which is exactly the problem. Every new project ends up re-deciding the same things: page layout, navigation, a content model, metadata, and how components fit together. AstroWEBTheme removes that starting friction by giving a new website an opinionated, reusable foundation instead of an empty folder.
A design system, not a single template
AstroWEBTheme ships a shared design system — typography, spacing, color tokens, and reusable UI components such as cards, anchors, FAQ lists, and hero layouts — so a new page looks consistent with the rest of the site by default. Project-level styling lives in src/site/styles/, so brand colors and spacing can change without touching reusable core styles.
Content collections instead of one-off pages
Rather than hand-building every page, AstroWEBTheme organizes content into collections: blog, documentation, features, resources, posts, video, audio, reviews, and more, each with its own routing, taxonomy, search, sitemap, RSS, and LLMS behavior already configured. A project enables only the collections it needs and adds content as structured MDX files or live D1 rows.
Static pages that stay editable
Core pages like the homepage, about, and contact live under src/site/content/pages/ as ordinary Astro components, so they can be restructured freely without touching theme internals in core/. This keeps the boundary clear: reusable behavior stays in core, project-specific content and layout stay in src/site/.
Built for iteration
Because page patterns, navigation, and content config are all declared in src/site/config/, a developer — or a coding agent working from AGENTS.md — can add a new page, section, or collection entry without guessing which files are safe to change.
