Flexible Content Collections for Client Websites
AstroWEBTheme includes reusable collection patterns for resources, services, posts, video, audio, reviews, publications, researchers, and subject-based discovery.
Client websites rarely share exactly the same content model. A consultancy needs service pages and reviews, a publisher needs posts and media, while a laboratory may need researcher profiles and publications. AstroWEBTheme keeps these patterns available as optional, reusable collections.
Collections can be enabled when a project has real content and kept out of public navigation while they are empty. This lets the theme support many project types without exposing placeholder pages to visitors.
Resources
The Resources collection supports practical guides, templates, downloads, checklists, reference material, and knowledge-base articles. It is useful when a client needs content that remains valuable beyond a normal news cycle.
Resource entries can participate in search, taxonomy, schema, RSS, sitemap, and LLMS exports.
Services
The Services collection gives each offering a stable page with its own description, process, audience, structured metadata, and calls to action. It works for agencies, consultants, professional practices, laboratories, and local service providers.
Service layouts can be extended with pricing, FAQs, related resources, enquiries, or project-specific components.
Posts
The Posts collection provides a general-purpose publishing channel separate from the main blog. A project can use it for announcements, updates, essays, changelogs, or content that needs a root-level route.
Keeping Posts optional prevents overlap when a client only needs one editorial collection.
Videos
The Videos collection supports watch pages with titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playback metadata, transcripts, related content, and video-oriented schema.
It can serve hosted media or approved external providers while retaining a useful HTML page for search engines and agents.
Audio
The Audio collection supports podcasts, interviews, lectures, narrated articles, and other listenable content. Entries can include episode metadata, cover media, transcripts, and feed-friendly descriptions.
The page remains meaningful without requiring the audio player to be the only source of information.
Reviews
The Reviews collection provides a structured home for testimonials and client feedback. Review entries can carry ratings, attribution, context, visibility controls, and schema-ready metadata.
Projects should enable the public index only after genuine, approved reviews are available.
Publications
The Publications collection is designed for journal articles, conference papers, books, chapters, reports, datasets, and other scholarly outputs. It supports author relationships, identifiers, dates, citation information, and publication-oriented layouts.
This makes it suitable for research groups, academic portfolios, institutional projects, and science-led organizations.
Researchers
The Researchers collection supports structured profiles for scientists, academics, authors, and technical experts. Profiles can include affiliations, expertise, education, publications, projects, contact details, and external identifiers.
Researcher and publication collections can work together to create an interconnected academic website rather than isolated biography pages.
Subjects
Subjects provide a discovery layer across collections. Unlike a simple tag, a subject can represent a stable domain of knowledge—such as materials science, Cloudflare security, web performance, or document authentication.
Subject pages help visitors, search systems, and agents find related entries even when those entries belong to different collections.
Enable only what the project needs
Each collection has configuration for routing, indexing, search, sitemap, RSS, LLMS output, pagination, and layout selection. Content can remain in static MDX, come from Cloudflare D1, or use a hybrid source where supported.
The recommended workflow is:
- choose the collections that match the client’s information architecture;
- add real, reviewed content;
- configure metadata and machine-readable outputs;
- verify detail pages and collection indexes;
- expose the collection in navigation only when it is useful to visitors.
This approach keeps the public site focused while preserving AstroWEBTheme as a flexible foundation for many kinds of client websites.
