Theme License & Usage

How the free Core and Pro editions of AstroWEBTheme may be used.

This page summarises how AstroWEBTheme may be used. It is not the license itself: the license file included with each edition is the authoritative text, and it prevails if anything here differs.

1) Editions

  • Core (Free): a complete starter published in the . It is licensed under the terms in the repository’s .
  • Pro (developer license): additional production features, licensed under the developer license delivered with your purchase. Pricing and what each tier includes are listed on the Site and in your order.
  • Implementation services: custom work delivered under a written proposal; see the .

2) Using the theme for projects

Whether you may use an edition for personal projects, client sites or products you sell is set by the license file of that edition, and for Pro by the tier you bought. If your use case is unclear, ask us before you ship. We would rather answer a question than have you guess.

3) What stays yours

  • Your content, branding, configuration and anything you add under src/site/ remain yours.
  • Reusable theme code in core/ stays under the license of the edition you use.

4) Attribution

The footer credit (“Theme by AstroWEBTheme”) is controlled in src/site/config/footer.mjs. Whether it may be removed depends on your license; Pro licenses may permit removal where they say so.

5) Names and trademarks

“AstroWEBTheme”, “NViewsWEB” and “AstroWeb.dev” are our names. AstroWEBTheme is independent of, and not endorsed by, the Astro project. Astro and other open-source dependencies keep their own licenses and notices.

6) Support and security
